Citizens National Bank in La. Names CEO

Citizens National Bancshares of Bossier in Bossier City, La., has named an insider as its new president and chief executive.

Jason Smith, an executive vice president at subsidiary Citizens National Bank since 2008, assumed the new leadership roles earlier this month, a spokesman said Tuesday.

Smith replaced Woody Schick, who was president and CEO since 2008, according to Bloomberg. The company's chairman, Will Hubbard, was unavailable Tuesday to comment on the reason for Schick's departure.

Smith joined Citizens National Bank in 1994. He was a member of the board of directors of the Louisiana Bankers Education Council and served as its president in 2008.
