Claymore Advisors LLC said Tuesday that it has licensed the Morningstar Super Sector Indexes for the creation of three exchange-traded funds.
The indexes divide U.S. equities into three broad sectors: manufacturing, services, and information. The funds will be the first to track the Morningstar Inc. indexes.
On Monday, Claymore introduced the Claymore S&P Global Water Index ETF, a fund based on water-related businesses. It tracks a Standard & Poor's Corp. index that tracks water utilities and infrastructure, as well as water equipment and materials, the Lisle, Ill., company said.
Companies in the index have market capitalizations ranging from $250 million to $25 billion.
Claymore Advisors is a unit of Claymore Securities Inc., which had $16 billion of assets under management as of March 31.
