Coast Bancorp (CTBP) in San Luis Obispo, Calif., has hired a new chief financial officer.
Paul Cable has joined the $117 million-asset company as executive vice president and CFO, it announced Thursday. He succeeds Karan Pohl, who resigned in May.
In addition, James Kaney, former director of finance, left the company and his position was eliminated, Coast said.
Cable most recently was a finance executive at Regents Bank in La Jolla, Calif. He has spent more than 20 years as CFO of various Southern California banks, the news release said.
Cable's "talent and experience will be of great value to our team and will make a strong contribution to our continued positive efforts," Anita Robinson, Coast's chief executive, said in a news release.
Last year Coast sold a California branch to Heritage Oaks in Paso Robles. Coast now has three branches in San Luis Obispo County.
