COCC Signs American Savings of Ohio

American Savings Bank of Portsmouth, Ohio, has agreed to outsource its core systems processing to the Connecticut service bureau COCC.

COCC, of Avon, announced the long-term agreement Wednesday. It did not specify the length or give a the financial terms for the deal.

The $212 million-asset American Savings has five branches. It said that working with COCC would help it expand into southern Ohio and northern Kentucky.

Robert Smith, the community banking company's president, said in a COCC press release that the young people American Savings is trying to reach "expect their banking services to be delivered online or via debit cards. COCC is the best choice to support our efforts to serve these new customers."
