Codorus Valley in Pa. Taps New Bank Chief

Codorus Valley Bancorp in York, Pa., will soon have a new leader for its bank.

The $1.4 billion-asset company said in a press release Tuesday that Dwight Utz, who was hired as chief operating officer in September, will succeed Larry Miller as president and chief executive of its PeoplesBank unit on March 8.

Miller, who is retiring from the bank after leading it for 35 years, will remain chairman, president and CEO of Codurus Valley. He will become the bank's executive chairman.

Utz previously worked at VantageSouth Bancshares in Raleigh, N.C., after that company bought ECB Bancorp, where he had been chairman and CEO.
