Commercial Union buys Bank Cantrade.

LONDON -- Commercial Union PLC, a general insurance company, said it completed the purchase of Bank Cantrade, an Amsterdam bank with assets equal to $441 million.

Commercial Union did not reveal the price, but said it paid less than 1% of net assets. The actual purchaser was Commercial Union's Dutch subsidiary, Delta Lloyd Verzekeringsgroep, and the seller was Cantrade Beteiligungs of Zurich.
