Community Valley in California Names New CEO

Community Valley Bank in El Centro, Calif., has hired a new chief executive.

Wayne Gale became the $104 million-asset lender's president and CEO on Monday, it announced. He succeeds Jon Edney, who remains the bank's chairman.

Gale joined Community Valley from the Foothills Bank in Yuma, Ariz., where he was replaced in June after a six-year stint as CEO. He has "an impressive record of creating a successful bank through the development of local staff and his involvement within the community," said Jordana Selwick, a director of Community Valley, in the news release.

Edney founded Community Valley Bank in 2007 and has served on its board since its inception.
