The online banking software provider Corillian Corp. reported a wider first-quarter loss despite a 15% increase in revenue.
Corillian, which is being acquired by the Atlanta online bill-payment provider CheckFree Corp., said its net loss rose 13.3% compared with last year's first quarter, to $1.1 million, on revenue of $16.5 million.
It said $658,000 of the loss was related to the $245 million CheckFree deal, which was announced in February and is expected to close June 1.
Corillian announced the first-quarter results Thursday. It did not have an earnings call it is being bought.
