CoVantage Credit Union is working with the software vendor Tyfone Inc. to make its customers' wallets more mobile.
The Antigo, Wis., credit union will be using Tyfone's suite of products that include the Symitar Episys integrated mobile banking platform, ID authentication tools and near-field communication payment technology, the Portland, Ore., vendor said in a press release on Monday.
"Tyfone's Episys core integration gives CVCU the ability to offer unique features such as account aggregation and the ability for non-online bankers to participate in mobile banking, providing significant value for both CoVantage and its members," Robert Van Abel, the chief information officer of the nine-branch credit union said in the release.
Tyfone's technology allows consumers to check balances, transfer funds, pay bills and do banking via text message, app and mobile web browser.
