Golden 1 Credit Union has agreed to use Fiserv Inc.'s consumer remote deposit capture service, the Brookfield, Wis., vendor said Wednesday.
Golden 1 in Sacramento is one of the first clients for Fiserv's Consumer Source Capture service, which lets consumers and small businesses scan checks from their home computers and deposit them electronically.
"We think the Consumer Capture product will effectively bolster our retail banking capabilities, as our members will now have the option of saving time and money by depositing checks anywhere, anytime without making a trip to the credit union," Teresa Halleck, Golden 1's president and chief executive, said in a press release.
