Bethpage Federal Credit Union has started an interactive marketing campaign that tells people, "It's time to give your bank a pink slip."

Customers can create and print out a pink slip saying, "You're fired! Here's why." As part of the campaign, the $4 billion-asset credit union started a website,, inviting participants to voice frustrations about new fees on banks' checking accounts.

The site also includes links to relevant news articles, details about the Bethpage, N.Y., credit union's free checking account and other information to help encourage consumers to fight back.
