Dale Winter named Exec VP of Key Bank of Washington.

Dale A. Winter has been appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer of the $6.6 billion-asset Key Bank of Washington, Tacoma, a subsidiary of Keycorp, Albany, N.Y.

He joins Key Bank from Ernst & Young, where he had been an audit partner with its Albany office a position he assumed in 1990. He became a partner of the firm in 1982.

Mr. Winters succeeds James J. Malerba, who had been Key Bank of Washington's chief financial officer since joining the bank in June 1992 to oversee the acquisition of portions of the former Security Pacific Bank Washington and Key's merger with the former Puget Sound Bancorp.

Mr. Malerba returns to Keycorp's headquarters in Albany to resume his duties as senior vice president and deputy controller for the corporation.
