DBS Bank Ltd., Singapore's No. 1 banking company, has agreed to use Diebold Inc.'s newly upgraded Agilis software, Agilis EmPower, to run its automated teller machine network.
The North Canton, Ohio, ATM company announced the agreement and the software upgrade Wednesday.
Anna Istnick, a Diebold spokeswoman, said the Agilis software, introduced in 2002, is designed to let banks run ATMs from multiple vendors on their networks. To help banks share customer data among channels, the new version is interoperable with channels such as an online banking, call centers, and branches, Ms. Istnick said.
DBS is one of the largest banking companies in Asia, with operations in 15 markets.
