The Chicago shopping center management company Jones Lang LaSalle Inc. has agreed to offer Discover Financial Services LLC gift cards at 23 malls it operates.
The Riverwoods, Ill., card company announced the agreement Wednesday, saying it includes both general purpose, Discover-branded cards and Jones Lang LaSalle Mall Gift Cards.
The mall card, which can be used at Jones Lang LaSalle-managed properties that accept Discover cards, can be bought for $2 in denominations of $20 to $500. The Discover-branded cards can be used at any merchant that accepts Discover cards, and cost $4.95 in denominations of $50 or $100.
The malls covered by the agreement are mostly in the Southeast, Southwest, and Midwest, but Discover said it plans to expand its gift card program to other Jones Lang LaSalle-managed malls. Jones Lang LaSalle oversees 150 developments in 31 states.
