The Dutch processor EZswitch is now using transaction-processing software from S1 Corp.'s Postilion unit to handle payments for its telecomunications and utility clients in Europe.
S1, an Atlanta vendor, announced the agreement with the Netherlands company's Liquix payment service on Monday.
The Postilion software lets people reload prepaid accounts using cellphone text messaging, interactive voice response systems, and point-of-sale terminals.
EZswitch primarily serves telecom networks and energy providers that offer prepaid electricity and gas payment services.
Joggie Taute, Liquix's chief executive, said in an S1 press release that the Postilion payments software "allows us to be extremely fast in the market at offering new channels and services for end-users to make payments," which lets us "be more aggressive when it comes to setting service-level agreements and pricing."
