Eastern Bank to Use FundQuest Platform

Eastern Investment Advisors, a unit of Eastern Bank of Boston, announced Monday it is launching a managed account platform developed by FundQuest.

FundQuest, a unit of BNP Paribas, provides managed accounts to financial services companies.

Eastern Investment Advisors, which oversees $1.5 billion of assets, will use a customized managed account platform. Services will be offered to investor clients through Eastern Bank offices and may also be provided through other banks.

Eastern's financial advisers will be able to use the platform to offer high-net-worth clients managed accounts, mutual funds and exchange-traded funds.

Eastern Bank has more than 80 branches in New England.

FundQuest had $40 billion of assets under management and administration as of March 31.
