Enterprise in St. Louis Adds Banking Veteran to Board

Enterprise Financial Services in St. Louis plans to add a banking veteran to its board.

The $3.3 billion-asset company said in a press release Friday that John Arnold is set to become a director. Arnold once was an executive vice president of corporate risk management at Firstar. He has also had leadership stints at Mercantile Bancorp. and Harris Trust and Savings Bank.

Arnold "knows our company well as a member" of the bank's board, Enterprise Chairman James Murphy said in the release. Arnold has "held executive management posts at major banks in Chicago and St. Louis, and he's prominent in community service."

Arnold will replace Brenda Newberry, who chose not to seek re-election after serving on the board since 2007.
