Evercore Opens, Staffs an S.F. Office

Evercore Wealth Management in New York has announced the opening of a San Francisco office and addition of four partners and a senior adviser who will be based in the office.

It said Monday that it had hired William Vaughn and Judith Moses to be equity portfolio managers and Charles "Butch" Swindells to be a senior adviser. Two more partners are to join the company in July. Swindells was the western regional vice chairman for U.S. Trust Bank of America private wealth Management, a unit of Bank of America Corp.

Evercore, which is a division of Evercore Partners Inc., serves clients with more than $5 million of investable assets. It was founded in November by Jeff Maurer, a former chairman and chief executive officer of U.S. Trust. Evercore Wealth Management had $747 million of assets under management at April 30.
