PrivateBank and Trust Co. of Chicago has hired Christina Ksoll as a managing director.

Ms. Ksoll was a senior vice president and a division head at Chicago's Northern Trust Co., for which she had worked since 1997. Before that she had been a vice president of private banking at Harris Trust and Savings Bank, a Chicago unit of Bank of Montreal.

PrivateBank and Trust is owned by PrivateBancorp Inc. and has $2.7 billion of assets.


MIDDLE ATLANTICUnivest Corp. of Pennsylvania, the parent company of the $1.7 billion-asset Univest National Bank and Trust Co. of Souderton, has made Kimberly J. Detwiler a vice president.

Ms. Detwiler remains Univest Corp.'s director of communication. She joined the company five years ago.


SOUTHEASTCommunity Bankshares Inc. of Orangeburg, S.C., has hired Gregory G. Burke as its chief credit officer and an executive vice president.

Mr. Burke was a commercial lending manager and a senior vice president at First Citizens Bank and Trust Co. of Columbia, S.C. He has 16 years of banking experience.

Community Bankshares owns four banks, whose assets total $511 million.


WESTGreat Basin Bank of Nevada, which is based in Elko, has made Blake Marchant its chief credit officer and given chief operating officer Carolyn Ross the extra job of branch administrator.

They were also made executive vice presidents of the $156 million-asset bank, whose holding company is Great Basin Financial Corp.

Mr. Marchant was the chief loan officer and a senior vice president of the bank, which hired him in 1998 as a loan officer.

Ms. Ross was a vice president. He joined the brand-new bank in 1993 as a customer service manager.


Pacific Continental Corp. of Eugene, Ore., the parent of the $519 million-asset Pacific Continental Bank, has promoted Roger Busse to chief operating officer. Mr. Busse, an executive vice president, joined the holding company in 2003 and was its chief credit officer.That job has now gone to senior vice president Casey Hogan, who was a senior credit officer. Mr. Hogan joined Pacific Continental Corp. in 1995.
