S.Y. Bancorp Inc. of Louisville has promoted T. Clay Stinnett to chief strategic officer, a newly created job.
Mr. Stinnett, who joined the company in 2000, will oversee strategic and corporate planning, potential expansion of its product offerings, and the evaluation of new market opportunities.
Sheila A. Stoke has been hired to succeed Mr. Stinnett in his old job as the senior vice president of finance.
Ms. Stoke was a senior vice president and the controller of Integra Bank of Evansville, Ind. Before that she had been the controller of Republic Bank and Trust Co. of Louisville and, earlier, of Bank of Louisville, which BB&T Corp. bought in 2002.
S.Y. Bancorp owns Stock Yards Bank and Trust Co., which has $1.3 billion of assets.
SOUTHEAST
Greene County Bancshares Inc. of Greenville, Tenn., has hired James E. Adams as a senior vice president, and said he would succeed William F. Richmond as its chief financial officer when Mr. Richmond retires at yearend.
Mr. Adams was the CFO and an executive vice president of Rurban Financial Corp. of Defiance, Ohio, which owns the $418 million-asset State Bank and Trust Co.
Before that he had been the CFO of Integra Bank Corp. of Evansville, Ind., and, earlier, of MainStreet Financial Co. of Martinsville, Va.
Since his banking career began in 1973 he has also held senior jobs at Dominion Bankshares Corp., Shawmut National Corp., Third National Corp., Southeast Bank, Harris Bancorp, and Comerica Bank. Greene County Bancshares owns Greene County Bank, which has $1.4 billion of assets.
