Debt-buying giant PRA Group Inc., which purchases consumer debt from banks and other creditors, has named Deborah Cassidy as its chief information officer.
Cassidy comes from insurer Genworth Financial Inc. and will report to Kevin Stevenson, executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief administrative officer.
Cassidy will manage and integrate all corporate systems in North America and Europe "to better position the company for future growth, Stevenson said in a statement.
Her experience includes managing risk and compliance systems at Genworth Financial, where as CIO she also oversaw IT systems for risk, finance, human resources, legal and other departments. She previously worked as CIO for insurer Allianz Global Assistance, where she managed IT infrastructure, applications, security and compliance. She also spent 15 years as director of IT for Tredegar Film Products.
Cassidy has a bachelor of arts degree in business administration and information systems from Mary Baldwin College and a masters of science degree in management information technology from the University of Virginia.
