FHFA Names Former Fed Officials to Key Spots

WASHINGTON — Edward DeMarco, acting director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, on Tuesday named Richard Hornsby as chief operating officer and Jon Greenlee as deputy director of enterprise regulation.

Both spent over two decades working in the Federal Reserve System before taking on their new roles at the FHFA, which become effective Dec. 5.

Hornsby spent more than two dozen years working at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, most recently as group vice president and division head for the Reserve Bank's financial planning and control and corporate administration divisions. In that post, he oversaw many of the Bank's functions in nine states.

Greenlee served as managing director for KPMG LLP's financial services regulatory advisory practice. There he advised clients on Dodd-Frank and Basel II, as well as credit, capital, liquidity and resolution planning issues. Before joining KPMG, he spent more than 20 years at the Federal Reserve working in the division of banking supervision and regulation.

"Having extensive large bank supervision and executive management experience, Messrs. Hornsby and Greenlee each bring outstanding backgrounds and skills to their new roles at FHFA," said DeMarco in a press release.
