Fidelity National Information Services Inc. of Jacksonville, Fla., has acquired the Birmingham, Ala., customer relationship management software vendor Marketing Solutions Inc.
The purchase, announced last week, gives Fidelity products that let community banks analyze customer data and fine-tune their marketing efforts.
Fidelity, which had worked with Marketing Solutions in the past, did not give the price.
Gary Norcross, the president of Fidelity's integrated financial solutions division, said in a press release that merging Marketing Solutions' products with his company's "will help our customers become increasingly more profitable by enabling them to make more informed decisions."
