Wendy's/Arby's Group Inc., Beall's Inc. and Luby's Inc. have renewed multi-year card processing agreements with Fifth Third Processing Solutions LLC, the Cincinnati company said Wednesday.
"Especially in a competitive marketplace we are greatly pleased when our long-term clients renew contracts with our company," Donald Boeding, the president of merchant services at Fifth Third Processing, a venture of the private-equity firm Advent International Corp. and Fifth Third Bancorp's Fifth Third Bank, said in a press release. "These renewed endorsements validate our commitment to providing quality products and services to some of the most prestigious merchants in the country."
Wendy's/Arby's renewed its agreement to use Fifth Third's credit card-processing services for its Wendy's International Inc. fast food subsidiary. There are more than 6,500 Wendy's restaurants in operation in the United States and 20 other countries. The company operates about 1,400 of those, and 5,150 are operated by franchisees.
Beall's, a Bradenton, Fla., department store operator, and Luby's, a Houston restaurant holding company, extended their credit and debit card-processing agreements. Beall's owns Beall's Department Stores Inc., Beall's Outlet Stores Inc. and Burke's Outlet Stores LLC. It has more than 500 stores in 14 states.
Luby's has 96 Luby's restaurants in Texas. It has more than 180 Fuddruckers restaurants across the U.S., including 58 that are company-operated and 130 franchises.
