First Midwest names Brown to head a bank.

Keith J. Brown, a former First Chicago Corp. executive, has a new job as president and chief executive officer of First Midwest Bank Illinois, a subsidiary of the Naperville, Ill.-based First Midwest Bancorp.

Mr. Brown, 43, joins the $900 million-asset bank following a 20-year career at First Chicago. For the past four years, he has been division vice president of First Chicago Bank in Ravenswood, a community banking operation that includes seven banking offices and 400 employees.

Before that, he held management positions in the cash management division, the First Chicago Cheque Corp., the marketing division, and the private banking division. For four years, he was executive assistant to the president of First Chicago Corp.

Mr. Brown has a BA from Northeastern Illinois University and earned his MBA from the University of Chicago as a participant in First Chicago's First ScholarProgram.

First Midwest Bank Illinois operates 17 offices in the south metro Chicago counties of Will, DuPage. Grundy, and LaSalle.
