First PacTrust Bancorp Inc. in Chula Vista, Calif., has hired Marangal Domingo to serve as its chief financial officer.
Domingo was also appointed to those roles at the Pacific Trust Bank, the $835 million-asset company said in a press release late Friday. The role appears to be newly created at First PacTrust, which received a $60 million capital infusion late last year.
Domingo most recently served as a principal at Decision Advisors LLC, a firm that provided assistance to both financial institutions and bank investors. Prior to that, he was the CFO of the $8.5 billion-asset Doral Financial Corp in San Juan, Puerto Rico. There, he played a leadership role in the $610 million recapitalization of Doral and its balance sheet restructuring.
