FirstBank in Colo. Names Successors to CEO and President

FirstBank in Lakewood, Colo., named the successors to its CEO and president, who are both retiring after holding those titles for 17 years.

The $16.6 billion-asset bank said Jim Reuter will succeed John Ikard as CEO and Ron Tilton will succeed Dave Baker as president on Feb. 1.

Reuter joined FirstBank in 1987 and has been chief operating officer since September 2015. Tilton, who has been with the bank more than 30 years, is regional president for the Denver and Colorado Mountain markets. As the bank's president he will oversee business lending and development.

Emily Robinson, regional president of the northwest Denver and California markets, will be the new COO. Robinson, who has been with FirstBank since 1993, will lead its retail operations. Robinson, Reuter and Tilton have all served on FirstBank's executive leadership team.

Reuter's "experience adapting and guiding technology innovations for the bank, in a quickly evolving industry, makes him a natural choice for CEO," FirstBank Chairman Larry Hauserman said in a press release Thursday.

Ikard and Baker will continue to hold seats on the bank's board.
