Fiserv Inc. revenues up 39% in period.

MILWAUKEE -- Fiserv Inc., a leading provider of bank software and computer services, continued a pattern of strong financial growth in the third quarter.

The Milwaukee-based company reported revenues of $116.4 million in the three months ending Sept. 30. This represents a 39% increase from the same period in 1992. Net income per share for the quarter rose to 20 cents, an increase of 3 cents per share over last year's third quarter. Net income for the third quarter rose 35% to $7.9 million.

For the year to date, Fiserv revenues were $327.3 million, a 32% increase over the $247.3 million reported in 1992. Net income for the first nine months of 1993 rose 31% compared with 1992, to $22.4 million.

Net income per share so far in 1993 increased 10 cents to 59 cents per share, from 49 cents per share in the first nine months of 1992.

These earnings figures do not take into consideration Fiserv's pending acquisitions of two Mellon Bank Corp. data processing units. Those acquisitions are expected to be completed by yearend, according to the company's chairman and chief executive, George Dalton.
