Phoenix Investment Partners Ltd. of Hartford, Conn., the investment management subsidiary of Phoenix Cos. Inc. of Hartford, announced Thursday it hired David L. Meyncke as a senior vice president and regional investment consultant for the Florida region.

Mr. Meyncke will provide support to advisers who sell Phoenix's individual investment products.
Mr. Meyncke had been a vice president and senior wholesaler at Jennison Dryden Mutual Funds Inc., a unit of Prudential Insurance Co. of America. Phoenix Cos. had revenue of $2.6 billion in 2006 and ended the year with assets of $29 billion.
