Focus Business Bank in San Jose, Calif., has hired a leader for its business banking team.
Robert Gionfriddo has joined the $213 million-asset bank as its chief business banking officer, Focus said Tuesday. Gionfriddo has more than 35 years' experience at community banks in northern California, recently serving as president of the Silicon valley region for Community Bank of the Bay in Oakland. He has also held roles at Plaza Bank of Commerce, Bridge Bank and Heritage Bank of Commerce.
"He will play an important strategic and business development role as the bank continues to expand its presence throughout the greater Silicon Valley," Richard Conniff, the bank's president and chief executive Richard, said in a press release. Gionfriddo's "intimate knowledge of the local business community and his connections to business leaders are invaluable assets to the bank."
