Former Fed Official Joins Sullivan and Cromwell

Former Federal Reserve Board official Stephen H. Meyer has joined the Washington D.C. office of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.

Meyer, a 19-year Fed veteran, is a special counsel in the firm's financial institutions group. Before leaving the government, he had been the Fed's assistant general counsel for enforcement since 2005. Among others in Sullivan & Cromwell's D.C. office, he joins former Fed counsels Andy Baer and Andrea Tokheim; former Fed general counsel Virgil Mattingly; former FDIC general counsel Bill Kroener; and former House Banking Committee staff member Sam Woodall.

In addition to the Fed, Meyer has also worked in the enforcement division of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the consumer protection wing of the Federal Trade Commission.
