Webster Financial Corp. in Waterbury, Conn., has tapped a former top executive at NewAlliance Bancshares to fill its position of chief financial officer.
The $18 billion-asset Webster said Tuesday that Glenn MacInnes has joined the company as executive vice president and CFO, reporting to Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer Jerry Plush. Plush, who had been Webster's CFO since July 2006, was promoted to vice chairman and COO in January.
MacInnes, 50, was CFO at NewAlliance from November 2009 until April, when NewAlliance merged with First Niagara Financial Group Inc. of Buffalo. Before that he worked at Citigroup for 11 years in a variety of executive positions.
