GE Consumer Finance Inc. and Yahoo Inc. have launched a financial management Web site for Hispanics.
The site, Yahoo Telemundo Soluciones Financieras, provides financial tools and educational materials in Spanish.
Many Hispanic households are underbanked and are more comfortable with Spanish-language Web sites than those that use English, the companies said.
"All consumers need to be empowered with the tools necessary to manage their finances wisely," Steve Liguori, the chief marketing officer for GE Money's Americas business, said in a press release Thursday.
"Through this partnership, each of these organizations is demonstrating a commitment to help Hispanic consumers."
The Web site focuses on budgeting, managing credit, avoiding identity theft, and using loans. Its interactive elements include a budgeting tool and a mortgage calculator.
