The Government National Mortgage Association is expediting the release of its monthly mortgage-backed securities disclosure files by two weeks, in an effort to give investors more timely information on which to trade.
Because of this change, the agency's report on September MBS activity will be released on Oct. 21.
Under the old reporting regimen, the information would not be released until the second business day in November.
The change was announced Aug. 25.
