Glen Burnie in Md. Eliminates Chief Operating Officer Post

Glen Burnie Bancorp in Glen Burnie, Md., has decided it can do without a chief operating officer.

The $394 million-asset company disclosed in a regulatory filing on Thursday that eliminating the post means that Edward Connelly was terminated on Sept. 1. Connelly had also been the company's secretary and an executive at its bank.

Connelly earned a total of $240,084 with Glen Burnie last year, including a $173,945 base salary, according to the company's most recent proxy statement.

John Wright, Glen Burnie's chief financial officer, will take over as the company's secretary.
