Duncan competed against three other students in the Right StuffChallenge during halftime of the annual GMAC Bowl college football game inMobile, Alabama. The Right Stuff Challenge requires participants to quicklydress in football gear and race to the center of the field with thequickest being declared the winner. Duncan's victory at the GMAC Bowl wasthe result of a much better effort than her last-place finish when chosenfor the event held at Ball State during the 2007 GMAC Bowl Campus Tour lastyear. "Winning the vehicle was overwhelming and really exciting," Duncansaid. "I really didn't expect to win after the first time, and I almostdidn't accept the trip to the Bowl because I didn't think I would win --but I'm sure glad I decided to go!" The Right Stuff Challenge during the GMAC Bowl was the culmination ofthe season-long 2007 campus tour visiting 29 schools tied to the threeathletic conferences which vie for a spot in the annual GMAC Bowl game,Conference USA (C-USA), the Mid-American Conference (MAC) and the WesternAthletic Conference (WAC). At each tour stop, five home team studentscompeted on-field during halftime for the fastest Right Stuff Challengetime and a $1,000 scholarship. All of the participants were also placed inthe sweepstakes drawing to win a trip to the GMAC Bowl and opportunity tocompete for a Chevrolet Malibu.
