Hub International Ltd. has hired Daniel Goldsmith as a vice president and chief financial officer.

Mr. Goldsmith, whose hiring was announced Monday, will join the Chicago property/casualty insurance brokerage company's executive management team and its executive committee.
Most recently he was the chief financial officers at Almatis Inc., a Leetsdale, Pa., producer of alumina-based materials.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Goldsmith had been the president of the North American cranes division at Terex Corp. of Westport, Conn.
