Green Dot Adds Dollar Tree Contract, Renews Wal-Mart and PayPal

Green Dot Corp. said Monday that it has signed a new multi-year distribution deal with Dollar Tree Inc. and extended its contracts with other partners.

Under the Dollar Tree agreement, the retailer will distribute Green Dot's general-purpose reloadable cards and its MoneyPak products, which can be used to reload Green Dot cards and other accounts. Dollar Tree will begin distributing the Green Dot products at its stores in the second half of the year.

Green Dot also said it renewed a deal with Wal-Mart Stores Inc. Green Dot plans to add new designs and products through Wal-Mart's stores. Green Dot has also extended its contract with PayPal, a unit of eBay Inc. PayPal customers can use Green Dot's MoneyPaks to reload their accounts.
