HarborOne Bank in Brockton, Mass., has hired a former Santander Bank executive to oversee its retail banking operations.

The $3.7 billion-asset company said it had hired Brenda Kerr as senior vice president of its retail division. She will be responsible for developing a strategic vision, boosting profit and maintaining the bank's culture, it said.

“We’re excited to welcome Brenda Kerr to our retail division,” Joseph Casey, the bank's president and chief operating officer, said in a press release this week.

“Having been in the banking industry for more than 20 years, we look forward to the knowledge and expertise Brenda will bring to the division," Casey added.

Kerr most recently was director of retail sales, operations and support at Century Bank in Medford, Mass. She held several roles at Santander, including branch leadership, district leadership and sales and service strategy. She began her career at Fleet Bank.
