Hartford Adds Execs in Japan

Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. of Simsbury, Conn., has added two executives to its operations in Japan.

David Levenson was promoted to chief operating officer of Hartford Life Insurance K.K.; he had been the subsidiary's chief product and distribution officer.

Lyndon Oliver will move from Hartford's life insurance operations in Connecticut to Japan in her new role as the Japanese subsidiary's chief product and competitive intelligence officer.

Hartford is the largest provider of variable annuities in Japan; it ended 2006 with $29.6 billion of variable annuity assets under management there. It announced the executive moves Wednesday.
