Hartford Financial Services Inc. has launched two fixed income funds and a fund of funds.
The Hartford High Yield Municipal Bond Fund is designed to maximize tax-free income, while the Hartford Strategic Income Fund offers exposure to emerging markets. The high yield bond fund will be sub-advised by Hartford Investment Management Co.
The Hartford Check and Balances Fund, the company's new fund of funds, invests in three Hartford funds to allocate assets among different classes and investment styles.
The minimum initial investment for the three new fund, which were introduced Wednesday, is $1,000 or $50 to open with an automatic investment plan of $50 per month.
The Hartford, Conn., insurance company's offers 54 proprietary funds with $42 billion in assets under management. It has more than quadrupled its assets since 2001.
