Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. of Connecticut promoted Beth A. Bombara to senior vice president and controller.

Ms. Bombara, 39, succeeded Robert Price, 56, who is now on a reduced schedule.
Hartford hired Ms. Bombara as a vice president in April of 2004. In 2005 she was promoted to vice president and deputy controller, overseeing external financial reporting, accounting policy, and internal management reporting.
Before joining Hartford, Ms. Bombara was a senior manager in Deloitte & Touche LLP's audit practice from 2002 to 2004.
Hartford, which announced the promotion Monday, generated revenue of $26.5 million last year.
