Heritage Oaks' President, Chief Banking Officer to Resign

The president and chief banking officer at Heritage Oaks Bancorp in Paso Robles, Calif., plans to leave the company next month.

Rick Arredondo plans to leave the $1.9 billion-asset bank on April 29 to "pursue other interests," the company said Monday.

Simone Lagomarsino, the holding company's president and chief executive, will fill the position of bank president. She was the bank's president from September 2011 until January 2015, when Arredondo was hired. Heritage Oaks has not said whether it plans to hire a replacement for Arredondo, a bank spokesman said.

Arredondo previously was president and chief operating officer at Rabobank in Roseville, Calif., and has also worked at Mellon 1st Business Bank in Los Angeles.

Arredondo "has worked tirelessly to restructure and expand our commercial and retail banking functions, with the goal of being able to support a larger volume of clients and a bigger balance sheet," Lagomarsino said in a press release.
