Home loan bank applauds four lenders.

SEATTLE -- Four banks and thrifts in the region were honored for their commitments to community lending, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle announced.

The lenders are: Glacier Bank of Kalispell, Mont.; Sterling Savings Association of Spokane; West One Bank Oregon of Portland, and Zions First National Bank of Salt Lake City.

"These lenders are outstanding examples of what community-conscious financial institutions can accomplish in the area of affordable housing and community development," said James R. Faulstich, president and chief executive officer of the the Seattle Home Loan Bank. "By cultivating public-private partnerships, they help leverage additional funds and bring organizations together to improve the quality of life for the citizens of their communities."
