Horicon to Buy Fond du Lac., Wis., Branch from Baraboo

Horicon Bank in Horicon, Wis., has agreed to acquire a branch in Fond du Lac, Wis., from Baraboo National Bank.

The banks did not disclose financial terms and Horicon spokesman Fred Schwertfeger said it's "quite a small deal" and "a complement to our network." The sale is expected to close in the fourth quarter, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported.

The branch will be the fourth office in Fond du Lac County for the $598 million-asset Horicon Bank. The branch held $19.4 million in deposits, as of June 30, 2014, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.

The $433 million-asset Baraboo will operate 10 branches in Wisconsin after the sale.
