Acordia Inc., a subsidiary of Wells Fargo & Co., said Tuesday that it has promoted Bill Anderson to director of training.
He is responsible for managing the learning and development function in Acordia's business units, as well as to strategize for the company's development needs.
Mr. Anderson also is to design, create, and carry out development programs to ensure that organizational goals are met, the company said, and he will work with senior managers to build leadership qualities. He is based in Richmond, Va.
Mr. Anderson most recently was an Acordia vice president of agency development, responsible for training and developing producers for the company's Middle Atlantic region.
Chicago-based Acordia is the fifth-largest insurance brokerage worldwide and the largest U.S. bank-owned brokerage, with more than 150 offices in 38 states. Its 4,500 insurance professionals place more than $8 billion of risk premiums a year.
