Chicago insurance brokerage firm Acordia Inc. has acquired the assets of Alaska's Key Insurance Agency LLC.
The acquisition is the Wells Fargo & Co. subsidiary's 17th in 11 states in the past three years and second in Alaska. It closed May 1 and was announced Wednesday. The price was not disclosed.
Key Insurance, established in 1996, has offices in Wasilla and Anchorage. It provides insurance for businesses and specializes in transportation and small construction insurance.
Acordia is the nation's fifth-largest insurance brokerage firm and largest bank-owned insurance brokerage firm, with 150 offices in 38 states. It announced the Key acquisition Wednesday.
