In Brief: Acordia Hires Wells Banker for Central Region

Acordia Inc., the big insurance brokerage owned by Wells Fargo & Co., said Wednesday that it has hired Dean Rosencrans to be a vice president and the business development officer for its central region.

From Acordia's Dallas office Mr. Rosencrans is to coordinate cross-selling efforts between the Chicago broker's central region and the parent banking company.

Mr. Rosencrans most recently was a vice president and business development officer in Wells' Tacoma, Wash., commercial bank. He was responsible for marketing to middle-market companies, strategizing for revenue growth, and managing prospects' expectations.

Acordia is the world's sixth-largest insurance brokerage and the largest bank-owned brokerage in the United States; it has more than 150 offices in 38 states.
