In addition to her account management responsibilities for a book of large and midsize risk management customers, Acordia said, Ms. Durkin's duties will include leading a team of assistant account executives in the commercial lines department. This will include quality service training as well as the group's professional development, it said. She joined Acordia in 1998 as an account executive in commercial lines.

Acordia, which is headquartered in Chicago, is the world's fifth-largest insurance brokerage and the largest bank-owned one in the United States. It has more than 150 offices in 38 states, and its 4,500 professionals place more than $8.5 billion of risk premiums with expertise in property, casualty, benefits, international, personal lines, and life products.
