Acordia Re, the Chicago reinsurance intermediary of Acordia, Inc., has hired John M. Ganter as a senior vice president.

Mr. Ganter, who will be based in Atlanta, has 25 years of insurance and reinsurance experience. He was a senior vice president at Benfield Inc.
Acordia is a subsidiary of Wells Fargo & Co. of San Francisco. It is the world’s fifth largest insurance brokerage firm and the largest bank-owned insurance brokerage firm in the United States with more than 150 offices in 38 states.
